3ddental Center provides a full range of ALL CERAMIC OPTIONS, as ceramics meet the highest aesthetic expectations and are biocompatible. All-ceramic restorations do not have a metal core. Therefore, light can shine through the restorations as it does in natural teeth. In addition, the adjoining gum will show no dark metal edges.

All-ceramics do not cause any allergic or undesired reactions, such as possible discolouration of the gums or change in taste. Therefore, they are called biocompatible.
Ceramic material is colourfast and wear-resistant. In addition, the low heat conduction protects the dental nerve, which is very sensitive to temperature changes.

Cosmetic Options and Materials for Veneer, Inlay, Crown, Bridge and Implant Restorations: With a full range of All-ceramic materials available at 3d dental centre we can choose the best solutions tailored to your requirements.

Feldspathic porcelain
is the standard, traditional porcelain that is used for crowns. Many cosmetic dentists feel that this is the most beautiful porcelain.

Empress/E Max Press/Cast Ceramics
- Empress is strictly speaking not porcelain, but is more like a glass. It is called a ceramic material. The Empress material is cast under pressure rather than baked as feldspathic porcelain is. The fit of cast ceramics is more precise than the baked feldspathic porcelain. The colour in Empress is mostly baked on the outside. Empress gives beautiful results. For appearance's sake, some cosmetic dentists prefer the feldspathic porcelain, and most prefer the Empress. Colour stratified pressed cast ceramics are the materials of choice for anterior restorations at 3d dental centre.

Procera - Procera is a milled ceramic on the inside with more traditional porcelain baked onto the outside. The advantage of Procera is its exceptional strength. However, the milled ceramic core is opaque white; so many cosmetic dentists feel that it isn't as natural-looking as the more translucent Empress materials.

Zirconia and Lava – These materials are similar to Procera, but the CAD CAM milled ceramic on the inside is a more translucent Zirconia, rather than an opaque white material, so it looks better. The Zirconia is shaded, and then the final beautiful aesthetics of the restoration are achieved in the baked-on outer layer.

Colour stratified Cad Cam Zirconia is the material of choice for posterior and implant restorations at 3d dental centre.

InCeram - InCeram is made of very dense and very tough aluminous porcelain. It also has good esthetics, but is more opaque than feldspathic porcelain.

Cerec - Cerec restorations are also milled from a block of very hard ceramic material. What's unique about Cerec is that the restoration is milled by a computer in the dentist's office. So, no second appointment is required, and no need to wear a temporary for a few days between appointments. However Cerec is milled from a block of ceramic that is a single or slightly variable colour, so it is generally not considered aesthetic enough for demanding cosmetic dentists, even when stratified stains are applied. >To be precise, Cerec is actually not a material but a single appointment technique with inferior cosmetic results.

• If a tooth is only damaged to some extent - e.g. due to decay – a tooth coloured composite filling will be sufficient.
• Larger defects require an inlay or onlay. These tooth-shaded fillings provide optimum cosmetic restoration of the tooth.

• Fractured, discoloured teeth or slightly malpositioned teeth can be easily and quickly treated with veneers and crowns.
Veneers and crowns are thin laminates made of ceramic, which are attached to the tooth. The completed restoration is as true-to-nature in appearance as neighboring teeth.

• When teeth are missing, they can be replaced by bridges, which are supported by two healthy abutment teeth. In the past, bridges were always fabricated with a metal framework due to reasons of stability and strength. The framework was then veneered with a ceramic to obtain the desired appearance. Thanks to new technologies and materials, it has also become possible to fabricate all-ceramic bridges without a dark metal core or margin. Zirconium is the material of choice for frameworks, as zirconium oxide is biocompatible, translucent and exceptionally strong.

• Alternatively missing teeth may be replaced by an implant retained All Ceramic Crown. Dental Implants are basically a Titanium root replacing the natural root of a tooth. An implant is placed into the gum. A zirconium abutment is then fitted over the implant. The all ceramic crown is then fitted on the zirconium abutment.
